Hi
I'm also a descendant of Joshua Cocker. His son Benjamin Cocker was my mother's grandfather. I live in New Zealand with my mother. The family in Adelaide keep in contact with my mum through letters and photos. The person who wrote the book you want I think his name is Mark Dalby. He is a descendant of Joshua Cocker. I think a Cocker went to the USA and the Dalby's came from this line. I'm not sure how to get hold of a book but I'l find out for you.
If you ever go to Tonga your'll find heaps of Cockers who know the family history well. Apparently the Minister of Finance is a Cocker.

I was the author of the book on the Cocker family and will happily send you another copy free of charge if you can pay postage (air or surface, as you wish). Please let me have your name and address.
Best wishes - Mark Dalby

Hello,
My name is Sam Katoa from Tonga. I grew up in the United States after leaving Tonga at the age of 2. Now I am living in the Island of "Texas". I am from the Cocker line on my mother side. My mother name is Melesiu Katoa (Leka) from Kolo Motua, Tonga. Her mother, my grandmother, is Tapu Leka (Cocker) Her father's name is Robert Cocker. I enjoy getting to know and possibly meeting family members out there. I may not know you all but I definantly have a special place in my heart for my mother's side of the family. Ofa Atu.

Correction on the name I gave on the earlier message. My mothers name is Melesiu Leka and her mothers name is Ema Leka (Cocker) her father's name is Robert. It is unknown to my mother who Roberts father was. If anyone can help my mother and I would appreciate it greatly.
