Thank you for your message, my father's name is Joseph D'Alfonso, he was born in 1948, his father's name was Emanuel D'Alfonso who was born in 1899 but they are both Maltese, my grandfather used to say that the surname started in spain I wonder, but when my grandfather died i was very young and this is all i know that is what he used to tell my Dad but i have a cousin whose name is Charles D'Alfonso he is 29 years old and luckily he has a son Juan D'alfonso just 5 months old so the surname can continue in Malta.

Hi Joanne, So nice to hear from you. I have an Uncle Joseph D'Alfonso. My fathers name is Nunzi, he and Joe ran the family business for 50 plus years. They took over C. D'Alfonso and Sons, Inc. after my grandfather Constantinio(Charles)passed away. They have a brother Nicholas, and 2 sisters, Mary and Theresa. A brother Samuel passed away in 1958 and a brother John passed in 1999. Thought I may find a connection since we know so little about
our D'Alfonso family in Italy. I can only understand a little Italian. My father speaks enough to get by and my my who is

Sorry but i found this message after the first, my father's name is Joseph his father's name was Emanuel and they always lived in Zurrieq my grandmother's name was Josephine nee Grixti even she was from Zurrieq.

Hi Joanne,
My grandfather was Carmelo Grixti from Zurrieq who married Maria Zammit from Siggiewi. He had 3 children, Andrew, Pepi, and Marianne. Are we related and do you have any other info on the Zurrieq Grixtis?
