Does anyone know the whereabouts of any family members from the Lamas of Lugo, Spain? My g-grandfather was Jose Lamas and g-grandmother was Maria Juana Lopez. They had several children one of which was my grandfather - Jose Lamas Lopez. born in Lugo Spain 10-24-1878. From there he went to Cuba and lost contact with his family. He married Laudelina Lopez Machado daughter of Manuel Lopez and Antonia Machado. She was born 12-24-1878 either in the Canary Islands or in Santa Clara. She had three brothers, each going to different locations. One to Argentina and another to Mexico. The third unknown. If anyone has any information please contact me at my e-mail address. Thank you.

I ignore the name of Camilo and Demetrio' s father and mother. Grandmother' s name was Amelia Lamas Lopez and had two brothers: Joaquim and Carlos. She was christened in Orense.
Best regards,

My great grandfather was named Enrique Lamas he was born and lived in Mexico. Our family also came from Spain. As you may know not many people have our last name there for we may be related some where down the family line.

Grandpa Lamas came from Lugo, Spain and migrated to Cuba. I do not have any relatives in Mexico. I do know that Grandpa Lamas had 8 brothers/sisters but once he left Spain he lost touch with them.

Surnames: Lamas Patao Givnau Paz Perez
My grandfather was Manuel Lamas (1896) from Rodeiro, Galicia, Spain. He emigrated to Cuba in the early 1900s. his father was Francisco Lamas - married to Genoveva Patao.

Francisco's father was Jose Lamas Givnau - married to Carmen Paz Perez (1846).

All this information came from my grandfather's birth certificate.

Anyone with any additional information on this family line please do let me know. I'm super excited to find out more!!
