I don't have much information to share. Hopefully, someone here can fill in a few blanks for me.

My grandmother's name was Edith Stukes. She was the daughter of Rev. Ned Stukes Elizabeth Billy.

Ned and Elizabeth had two other children: Janie and Buster. I don't know if Buster is his real name but it's the only one anyone knows.

Edith married Barrett Ragin of Pinewood. They lived there for a few years after they married and had 3 of their 6 children. They then moved to Wilmington, NC.

Please contact me at, if any of these names are familiar to you. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Edith Ragin

Maybe if you kept in touch with your family
you would know who I am and who my parents are.

Your cousin,

I just read your post on ancestry. Ned is my granduncle. If you know Viola and Willie oliver they have a Stukes book I made up and that would explain the Stukes tree. Ned's brother Nazareth is my grandfather, my father is Early. The Stukes Reunion is being planned for Myrtle Beach 2012.
