Hi Stephanie - My maiden name is Zurn and I have done research on the family up until about 1850 when my gggrandfather Joseph Zurn came to America. I have never heard of the name with a Von but it was also spelled Zuern. My family is mostly in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and California. Do you have any information on your grandparents and ggrandparents? Maybe there is a connection. There was supposely more than my gggrandfather who came over. And they have settle in PA and the east coast. They own Zurn Industries and make environmental systems; such as sewage systems. Disney even has them! Check the bathroom floors in public buildings, on the drain grids you'll see your name quite often! By, Lori

My grandfather was Carl Zurn. He was the youngest of 17 children (7 boys & 10 girls). An uncle of my grandfather Carl, in the latter part of the 1800's, settled in PA. (I believe other Zurns as well). They began a business "Zurn Industries". My mother, Edelgard Zurn, is from Stuttgart, Germany and came over to the states in 1952. My great uncles are Joseph, Anton, George, Benedict, Michael and Albert. I believe my grt or grt-grt grandfather's name is Ignaz Zurn. My mother has a second cousin in Erie, PA named Sally Zurn. Does this connect with you in any way?
