I am searching for information on Peter Baxter, born 1805, possibly the Peter, son of Thomas and Marie Grace Phillips Baxter. His family was in Burke/McDowell Co. NC in 1830 to 1850, however, Peter was absent in the last two census records. Wife was Elizabeth. Any help with this family will be greatly appreciated.

The info from the Sheehan link looks the same as from the Jacksons. Pretty sure you won't be able to make the link to Thomas in Currituck---but good luck anyway, if I can help, let me know.
There are several Currituck Baxter experts on here----maybe their info is better than mine!
