Good night--if anything, the Lübeck records from the late 1600s are even *less* legible than the worst of the records from the late 1500s were! I keep hoping I'll catch a break and be able to do more than one set at a go, and keep being disappointed with each set being harder than the last one.

(Nothing to see here, just grousing. I may have a few questionable names to post later, though.)

Kate I know some of the images are very bad. I also do only a few of those at the time. The other day I downloaded a lot of them to do, but htey have disapeared from my computer for some reason. Just kick them all back until you come to some others, There are some from 1903 in sütterlin. The handwriting is good. But they are a lot more in poor handwring that I am battling through.
Maybe yo prefer to review mine. That might be easier and I would feel better if some one did review them so I know where my mistakes are.

I thought the image sets were getting easier, but I have downloaded a new book and the handrwitting is terrible. Also you have to try and read all in order to find the relevent name. Depending who has made the entry. It sometimes at the beginning gives the name of the official that granted the citizenship and then somewhere in the middle the name of the applicant appears. Furhter down the names of two witnesses or sponsors.
I had some of these before but the handwriting was not quite as bad.
