Finding Ritterhoff

Classification: Query
Surnames: Ritterhoff
I'm looking for my great grand uncle He was born about July 1873 in St Giles, London and was living in Whitfield Street, St Pancras, London during the census' of 1881 and 1891. I think he may have a marriage in 1903 but don't know who to and can't find him at all in census' of 1901 and 1911. It may be that he has altered his name, as his forename and those of his siblings are made more english.

Any assistance most gratefully received!

Caroline

Whoops!

He was born either Johann Andreas or Andreas but as the years go by he changes his name to Andrew. I've find out that in 1901 he was serving in the Second Boer War as a trooper sharpshooter. I think he was married in 1903 to Maria De Smet but know little of her or them after this date. I can't find a death under the Ritterhoff surname or anything, so perhaps he changed his name?
