Despite my best effort, I have numerous repeat entries on my tree. Can someone kindly walk me through how to change that? Thanks

Do you mean online at ancestry.com? or in Family Tree Maker?

Online. I know family tree make has an option for that.

Do you mean duplicate entries for the same event (e.g., residence in 1880 based on the census) or do you mean duplicate profiles for the same person? If the former, you have to open the events and click "remove" to get rid of the duplicate - be careful you aren't just removing the source and not the event, as they each have separate "remove" links.

If you mean duplicate profiles for the same person, on the profile page select "other options" and click "merge duplicates" and the system will look for whatever appears to be a duplicate (if it doesn't find one, you can tell it what to look for). The process is very simple - just select what you want from each profile, and it will combine them and take all the source information to the merged profile.
