Looking for information about Sarah Evans' and Howell Jones' families in Wales. Sarah was born March 29, 1845 in Alltwen, Glamorganshire, S. Wales. She Married Howell Jones from Pontardawe in about 1866. Her father was Thomas Evans, born in 1813 in Llanguicke. Her mother was also Sarah, born in 1824 in Cilybebyll. Sarah had three sisters: Marry, Elizabeth and Gwenllian. Sarah and Howell migrated to the United States in about 1873. They finally settled in Kent, WA.

I could not identify Howell in the census - if you get the marriage certificate his parents may help to identify him.

Richard is correct that Howell Jones cannot be definitely located. To go further back in both of these families, I recommend you obtain the parish records for the churches in each village. These can be obtained from the Glamorgan Family History Society {http://www.rootsweb.com/~wlsglfhs/}.
The parishes are:
Cilybebyll - St John the Evangelist
Pontardawe Chapel at Ease
Llangiwg St Ciwg
All of these parishes are about 1 mile apart.
You will probably need a check for British pounds [even for the marriage certificate Richard found]. If you decide to get these resources and want to get checks, let me know and I will give you a foreign exchange company.
