"Looking for information on Joseph and Elizabeth Neubauer who came to Milwaukee, Wisconsin from Germany or Austria in 1854 ..."

No direct matches for a Joseph & Elizabeth Neubauer found in "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950). But some potential matches to some of their children if death dates are known by now. There are about 130 Neubauer entries or references in the index, with references to family names Reitz Lahl Gossel Ladwig Lullwitz Schultz Borchert Lemke Theiss Goetz Adler Bork Borst Dey Doran Enes Fischer Koplin Krueger Lasanske Lember Baumbach Lick Schneider Apfel Schüle Schuel Schule Weindl Winkel.
Their children's civil or church marriage records may provide leads on the family's origins.
