I have recently been informed that my ggggrandfather, Wenzel Long, spelled his name Wenzl Lang per the archives in the Czech Republic. He came from Prostibor, which is only a few miles from the locations you asked about.

Wenzel Long was born in 1805, married Mary Hamlet (Maria nee Hamperl) and had three children, Joseph, b. 1835, Elizabeth, b 1838 and Susan, b. 1842. They emmegrated to the US in 1855 and died and are buried in Clintonville, Wisconsin.

Is there any connection with your family?

I live in Oshkosh Wis. there are many Langs here who came from villages such as Kushwarda,Bohemia,Schattawa,Bohemia.
If you type in Oshkosh Bavarians and Bohemians in Google search,it will take you to many web pages of information.
Good luck
