I am searching for information on my great and great great grandparents--Ida Tavenner, married to Duncan Byrd Manuel in Loudoun County, VA. in the mid to late 1800s.

Ida Tavenner's parents were William Tavenner and Lucy Kent.

Duncan Manuel's parents were: Archibald Manual and Catherine Sinclair.

My grandmother was Virginia Dixon Manuel Hindman., brothers: Archibald and Byrd.

Sharon,

You might want to contact the Thomas Balch Genealogy Library in Leesburg, Loudoun Co., VA. They have a set of Tavener books (books written by a man named Tavener) that lists names and makes family connections. See if they can copy the Taveners for you - - .10 a copy.

Julie Rogers

I believe that I saw the graves of Duncan Manuel and Ida Tavenner - just yesterday - in the Quaker cemetery about a half mile west (?) of the Methodist church in Unison.
