I am trying to find the connection of my family to President Franklin Pierce. My 3rd great grandfather was Authur Pierce from W.Virginia. He and his 3 brothers were orphans. This presents a problem in finding the connection of he and Franklin Pierce. I know that President Pierce had no living descendants, so I don't know how to go about finding out where the relationship comes in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I, too, have always been told that we are related to Franklin Pierce. My grandmother's name was Mary Pierce, her parent's names were John Pierce and Mary Lane. I have been unable to find proof of this. I will send you anything I find on this line if you will do the same.

Thanks

I have also been told the Krempel family is related to Franklin Pierce. Still trying to piece this together. I can show the Krempel tree to you. I am trying, as time permits, to add it to Rootsweb.com. There are some Turnbull's involved somewhere along the line and I have been digging into that lineage lately.

I'm related to Franklin Pierce, though I'm not sure of the details. My great grandmother is Mary L Pierce Smith, her father's name was Cady. Franklin Pierce was an uncle or great uncle or something along those lines. Any information on Cady Pierce is much appreciated.

Hi all,

I'm also trying to find the connection between my family and Franklin Pierce... I've been told he was a cousin or something on my greatgrandmother's side... her last name was Haines, but I think it was on her mother's side, and I don't have a maiden name there. Hmm, maybe it was Pierce!

Any help would be appreciated!
