Looking for any info about a Cassidy family who emigrated to Canada from the country of Fermanagh who settled in Montreal Quebec.
On 1881 Census lists Mother Mary Cassidy (60) widowed born 1821 in Ireland.
Know idea who emigrated & when.
Any help would be appreciated.

My Cassidy family originally came from Boho in Fermanagh. My grandfathers grandfather was one of 4 Cassidy brothers. Three of the brothers(Thomas, Edward and Philip,) were convicted (?) and sent to Australia as convicts in 1830. I know they left behind a brother, James, who may of emigrated to Canada or US. In addition I have read that it is believed that Edward returned to Ireland and then emigrated to Canada under an assumed name but I have no confirmation regarding this.
My great great grandfather was Thomas.
