A question about a symbol

A question about a symbol

I am curious about a symbol etched on the gravestone of my husband's great aunt's sons tombstone. The symbol is 3 links which enclose the initials F L T.

Does anyone have any idea what that meant. We are very curious.

Some initials found on gravestones:

FLT stands for Friendship, Love, Truth, three degrees associated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The Odd Fellows, first organized in the US in 1819, is a popular fraternal/benefit organization. The emblem of the Odd Fellows is usually shown as three links of a chain. A number on the stone is the local lodge number.

Thank you so much for the information. I will pass that along. My husband and an elderly member of the family were in that cemetery a couple of weeks ago and the elderly lady
asked me if I knew and I had no idea so I will pass it on to her.
