Deleting Imported Gedcom

I'm a little confused - some would say, 'so what's new?' :-)

I've just downloaded a Gedcom file and imported it into BK (into a new folder so that it does not get included in my database).

Anyhow, the data I imported has no relevance to my family history, so I wanted to delete the folder to which the data was imported (to the recycle bin).

When I did this, (after I had re-opened my original database in BK), I got the message 'Can not delete reportsw.bk6: it is being used by another person or program.'

If I close BK and then delete the imported file, presumably the reports file connected to my database will be 'safe.'

I would be grateful if someone would confirm this for me.

Thanks.

David

When BK6 will be closed, you should be able to delete the folder and when you restart your BK6, it should start in the Brother's Keeper original folder.

The best way should be to start BK6 with a new database, and after delete your folder you want including the gedcom file.
