Am related to the WARREN family through the daughter of
Cornelius Alexander TAYLOR who was Mary Ann TAYLOR.
She married, I believe, a James Henry WARREN II. I have
some additional information on their children.

Are you part of this same line of WARRENs??

Tlhank You for your response. I am not familiar as of this
date of James Henry Warren II. Since I am just getting
started I don't have a lot to offer. I do understand that
there were 2 Bassett Warrens in Harlan County at the same
time. This information is not authenticated. It is said
that he had a leg injury and walked with a limp. Bassett
Warren was dark complexioned and was nicknamed "Black Bass"
His father was Robert, bn 1836, mother Sophia 1836, brothers
and sisters--Almira, bn 1856, Mary S.,Bn 1857, Sidney bn 1860, Dora A.,bn 1864, Martha C., bn 1866, John, bn 1869.
The above is from the Rockcastle, Ky Census, 20 Aug 1870.
Mount Vernon Post Office. This basically is all I have.
I have also found a Robert Warren who served in the Confederate Calvary and fought at Perryville, Ky.

I believe James Warren might be a relation of mine through Bassett Warren, although there are two separate lines that both have a Bassett Warren. Do you have any other information?

I seen this post while surfing Harlan County queries. Basset Warren, son of Robert Warren had a sister, Joicey that was married to a Ponder. He was killed in a mining accident and she later married a Moberley. She is buried at Red Hill Cemetery in Rockcastle County, Ky.
