Seeking info on Toomey family believed to be from Ardfert, County Kerry, Ireland. Martin Toomey, the son of John Toomey and Mary Griffin, was born July 12, 1830, married Johanna Casey, parents unknown, and left Ireland sometime between 1860 and 1870, settling in Whately, Massachusetts. Johanna Casey was born about 1835. Martin and Johanna (Casey) Toomey had a son, Patrick Toomey, born Ireland in 1858, died in Northampton, Mass., 1907. Patrick Toomey married Marguerite Ellen McCarthy, born 1858 in Ireland, daughter of William and Mary (_____) McCarthy. It is NOT clear that Patrick left Ireland with his parents. Ardfert is identified in immigration papers as birthplace of Patrick.

Do you have dob of Mary Griffin and her family?

Probably before 1810 on Mary Griffin. She was married and had a child by 1830.
