Looking for ascendants of Thomas Brunton, believe to be born about 1810 in PA. Thought to have married Margaret ? from PA. Died prior to 1830 in PA or Ohio. Possible children: George b. 1817, John b. 1816, William b. 1822, Joseph b. 1826, Jacob b. 1828, and a daughter. Jacob married Mary Elizabeth Spurrier in 1862.

Cathy,

Please send me the info. I am not certain it is the same one as mine married about 1815 and served in the War of 1812. But you never know.

Thanks

My g-g-grandfather was born in PA, the second son of a Thomas and Margaret B. Brunton. Joseph married Harriet Stiffler in 1849. Joseph, Harriet, older brother George and his wife Mary, along with brothers William, John, Jacob, and their mother Margaret migrated to Jackson, OH in 1850. It sounds like this fits your info.

Marlys,

Unless your Joseph married twice, he is not the son of Thomas/Margaret. Their Joseph was born in 1826 in PA and married Harriet Stiffler in 1849.
