My Faerber (Ferber) family came from Kirrweiller in the mid 1800's. Settled in Missouri - St. Charles and St. Louis area. My George Ferber had several children (b. in MO). I have reason to believe that his father was also George and that he had a sister named Mary and a brother named Johan. His mother was Margaretha. She died in St. Charles in 1857. I information on this line that I am willing to share and am looking for others who connect with this family. I believe that most of the family stayed in Missouri and Illinois. Does anyone have information on this family? Marian

My third great grandfather was John Ferber. He came to Augusta, Georgia with his first wife Maria, she died after three months and my third great grandmother came over from Strasburg, France and married him. His nephew Kasper Ferber followed him over a few years before John died. We have a picture of the Ferber family farm in Bavaria, with a name of Otto on the back of it and others that can not be read. We know that the farm was near where the Passion play in Bavaria is performed every ten years. I do know from the first wife's tombstone that the name was spelled Färber. Perhaps we are the same Ferbers.

I do have a George Faerber that settled in St. Louis, MO. He had a son named Charles and a daughter named Louise. I don't have my notes with me but I believed George came over ~1865 from Germany and landed in New Jersey and settled in St. Louis. I do have a good bit in basic information on these Faerbers if you think it might be yours.
