I am searching for information on M. W. and Cathrine Fambrough in Osage, Franklin Co., IL. They may have had a son name Ezekiel.

Median W. Fambrough and Catherine Moake did have several children. One was Ezekiel who was born ca 1824 and died 22 August 1864 at Chicago. He may have been in CSA and died in prison during war. Are you a descendant? I was Historian of the Fambrough Family Society for nearly 20 years.

Cathrine had a wrote a statement that she knew James Furlow, and that he had worked for Median Fambrough on the farm. This statement was mentioned in James Furlow (Furlough) Civil War Pension record. I was trying to determine a relationship. She did not mention her relationship to him. Therefore from your information he would be his brother-in-law??

James Furlow's wife's name was Nancy Moake. So I assume that Catherine was her sister or another relation??

Mary Catherine Moake (wife of Median W Fambrough) and Nancy Moake were sisters. Their parents were Henry Moake or Moak born 1795 in Tennessee and Charlotte Hunter also born about 1795 in Tennessee. My relative was a son of Henry and Charlotte (brother of Mary and Nancy. His name was George Washington Moake who married Sarah Harris. If anyone has information on Sarah Harris's parents I would like to know.
Median & Mary had 9 children, the eldest being Ezekiel. The 1960 census indicated that he was born abt 1851.
