Surnames: White
Hoping someone can tell me what the initials M.E. stand for. The text was in a newspaper marriage announcement of his son. John White, M.E., Leichhardt.... dated 1900, NSW.
John White came from a tin mining background in Cornwall and I had assumed he stayed in this industry when he emigrated to Australia in 1875, as three of his children were born at Vegetable Creek (now Emmaville) NSW, a tin mining area.
