German / Hessian Soldiers in Napoleon's Imperial Guard

Would anyone happen to know where to search for military records regarding Hessian soldiers (Hesse was a part of Germany) in Napoloen's Imperial Guard? Are there any records on Ancestry.com or perhaps a German or French site? I am looking for my ancestral great grandfather Johan Georg Neureuther who served with the army in the Peninsular Wars up until the Battle of Waterloo. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello!!!.
We are a group of descendants from german people from Niedergladbach, Eltville, Kiedrich, etc., coming to Argentina in 1825/26.
We have some information about some of they were soldiers on the Napolenic War. Some other were contracted as soldiers in the Imperial Brazilian Army in 1826.
I beg: if you get some information about a site concerning to this subjet; could you give some advice????.
Thank you.
Regards. Ricardo

Hello Laurren,

I'm a distant cousin of yours, also descended from Johan George Neureuther. I happened to also be searching to see if there were records on Germans in Napoleon's Imperial Guard, based on the stories passed down about George when I came across your post! I'd love to hear any information you found or just to see how we connect.
