Murphy of Dirreen

Surnames: Murphy, Jones
I have been trying to trace back my grandmothers ancestry and have had some success in finding the marriage of Thomas Murphy or Dirreen and Bridget Jones of Knockdown in 1899 in the Castleisland Parish. The records give his father as Timothy Murphy and her father as Thomas Jones but beyond that I am struggling to find any information on who their mothers were, how old they were when they married, baptism records for eith Thomas or Bridget etc.

I would have expected them to appear in the 1901 Census as some records for the area survive, but I really am struggling to find anything new.

Any suggestions or does anyone have any connects to Thomas Murphy or Bridget Jones in the Kerry area?

I have no connection to this family but I wonder if you have confused Thomas and Timothy Murphy as on the www.irishgenealogy site the marriage of Bridget Jones of Knockdown in 1899 shows Timothy not Thomas Murphy as the groom. Also it gives Timothy's father name as Michael Murphy.
See

and this is the family of Timothy and Bridget Murphy in Derreen in the 1901 Census

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kerry/Derre...
and in 1911

Timothy is showing as a widower so Bridget must have died in the intervening years.
Didn't find a baptism for Timothy around 1851 but there is a later baptism that might be a possibility.
