Looking for information on the family of William Coffee living in Bryan and Carter Counties of Oklahoma . He had son, James Walter Coffee born 6 Oct 1897 at Durant, Oklahoma. William died in Bryan County. No dates are known, and the only names I have on any of James's siblings, are the following;Matt(f), Ada, Bell, Pearl, Myrtle Ivy, Dutch and Frank ( I am not for sure if this is a brother or an uncle to these.) Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Vickie, I don't know the Coffee's in your recent post, but I am interested in COFFEEs living along the TX/OK border 100 years ago. Particularly any information on a Tom Coffee who had a family in Madill, OK and a Joe Coffee of Calera, OK. They were mentioned in an obit I have on a John H. Coffee from a Kingston, Marshall County, OK newspaper--date unknown. John H. Coffee was listed as the Uncle of Joe and Tom. If in a future search I uncover info on any Oklahoma Coffee's matching your names, I will let you know. Maybe our Coffee's connect somehow... Good luck!

Hello Stan,

No, I don't know your Laura COFFEE, but will file your post and contact you if I later see an Oklahoma "Laura". My John H. COFFEE only lived in the TX/OK area abt. a decade, having moved there from MO after his first wife (Nancy JAMES) died. But with his first son, John Willis Coffee, born 25 FEB 1875 in nearby Sherman, TX, I know he had SOME connection to the area. His obit also mentions his sister Martha and her daughter Mrs. Ida Thompson. Thanks for replying as I forget to regularly check this board. I assume you are aware of the COFFEE/COFFEY lists on Rootsweb? And other boards: http://genforum.genealogy.com/ AND GENCONNECT: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/indx/Ok.html AND http://www.rootsweb.com/~okbits/favlink.html. Good Luck!

Sandy,
I hope that this is a duplicate Sandy, I'd hate to think I haven't responded since you sent this.
Thank you for trying.

Vicki, I have some info on the COFFEE names you mentioned. If you've updated your email address with Rootsweb/Ancestry and actually receive notice of this post, please respond.

I uncovered some data while researching my COFFEEs in southern Oklahoma. I have a few burial places of some people who match the names you were once searching for, along with some marriage records.

Sandy
