Mary Carns or Thearms?

Mary Carns or Thearms?

Classification: Query
Surnames: Carns, Thearms, Hawkins
My great great grandmother was born in "Canada English", likely Lanark, and married my great great grandfather approximately 1860. He was Thomas Hawkins of Wicklow, Ireland who arrived in Ontario around 1858. They relocated to Michigan and were farmers.
We were told her family was from Dublin. The family Bible lists her as Mary Thearms but her daughter Carrie listed her mother's maiden name as Carns. I am descended from her son Willard, 1864.
Does anyone have information about an Irish or, perhaps Scotch-Irish family by either of those surnames?

Found a marriage record for Willard Hawkins and Elsie Compton 25 Jun 1889 Tustin, Wexford, Michigan, and it has his mother as Mary Carnes. Try this link and you can see the original record.
