force of men engaged m locating trouble, seven of them being experts
sent by the Automatic Electric company of Chicago, clearing out grounds and faulty insulation. This company had charge of the installation of the new plant in New
ark, and has at present over 22,000
of their phones in use in the city o
Chicago. The work in this city was
under the direction of Mr. Arthur
Sperry, of Chicago, who came here
last December, but was taken ill recently
with typhoid fever, and is in
the hospital, his place being taken by
being taken by Mr. W. E. Lamb, also
of Chicago, both men being expert
telephone construction engineers.

George, leader of the Kingdom of God sect, was fined $20 and costs and sentenced to the workhouse for sixty days by Judge McGahnoh when the minister pleaded guilty to living with Mrs. Louise Sperry as his spirit wife, She and her husband are members of the sect. The minister claims that God told him that Mrs. Sperry was his wife before heaven. Mrs. Sperry also declares that she was told by God to leave the home of her earthly husband and two children and live with Rev. Mr. George as his spirit wife.
The woman's earthly husband. Sperry. says he thought the change was right if God said so. The minister was arrested 01. a warrant sworn out by Mrs Sperry's sister, Mrs.Carrie Smith, of Conneaut, O.

claims that the girl's death is
