Agnes (nee STEKL) was a great-aunt of mine.
Dan was a machinist working for the railroad.
They appear in the 1910-20-30 censuses in Elroy.
I have found thir obituaries and an obit for their daughter, Marie (who married Clem Fields), but do not know much about the other five children.

Frank, I have your request in my notebook and will look up the children of Dan & Agnes Roche at the register of deeds as soon after the holidays as I can.

Thank you.
I grew up near Hillsboro, but never knew much about the Roche family-- now that I'm retired I am casting my search wider. Agnes was a great-aunt of mine.

I began searching at the first recorded R birth in Juneau County which was in 1869 and searched thru 1958.
I found the following children of Daniel Roache who was born in Hillsboro and his wife, Agnes E. Steckel who was born in Bohemia.
Mary Dennis, May 15, 1901 Volume D Page 304
George James, July 28, 1902 Volume 6 Page 134
Bernard Keneth (sic), May 19, 1907 Volume 7 Page 23 & 24
Paul Dennis, Dec 1, 1913 Volume 11 Page 283
Fabian, April 7, 1918 Volume 14 Page 163
Margaret Loraine, May 16, 1921 Volume 16 Page 205
I then found two children for Kenneth B. Roche andJulia Dutton.
They are:
Charles Patrick, June 1, 1927 Volume 20 Page 229
Edward Louis, May 21, 1929 Volume 21 Page 362

I made a typo. The name of Daniel and Agnes and their children is Roche. I added an "a" by mistake. Sorry

Thank You!
I met Marie, the oldest daughter about 50 years ago when she came out from Milwaukee for a funeral. I do not recall ever seeing any others of the family.
Right now I am pursuing military service data for Paul Roche who according to his obituary had received two bronze stars, a purple heart as well as a battlefield commision.

My husband is descended from Marie's sister, Ethel A Roche (married Donald T Whalen) - we are also close to Virginia, wife of the late Paul D Roche - Marie's brother. I have quite a bit of info - happy to share. kuhlmom@cox.net
