You asked about this same address for the 1900 census. I replied and you apparently did not see any need to respond. You gave no name on that occasion either.

Are these the same people you are looking for now? What is their name and why do you think they are living at that address?

Surnames: Shupinus/Scheafer
The family came from Lithuania and Great Grandparents didn't speak English. The name has been changes so much but here are some of the names.
On his death certificate Mathew Shupinus
They had a 2 sons Edward and Joseph and 2 Daughters May and possibly Ana.
I know Edward lived with them in 1918, it's the address on his draft card.

Some other pronounciations:
Scheafer
Shaeffer

From Shupinus on a death certificate to Scheafer
Shaeffer as alternate names and only an address and no age at death or ages of birth. Good lick.

For 1920, the address is located in Brooklyn AD 14, ED 824. According to records of the time, it was a small, 3 story wooden building.

There are 3 families living there, all of whom are Lithuanian, either by birth or ancestry. The transcriptions are awful. These are the names of the heads as Ancestry has them. One might be your family:
Micheal Smoatua
Mike Swpans *
Eva Daphwick

* The rest of the household has some resemblance to your family, but I don't have enough information to make a definitive call.

This is the "Swpans" household:
Name: Mike Swpans

Thank you so much. That's closer than I've ever gotten. I know Mathew's wife was Mary Mathew died at 56 years old so was born around 1864.
One son was Joseph. My Grandfather did legally change his name I beleive before he enlisted in the Nat'l Guard, I beleive it was he and his sister that were born in Huntington, LI. The rest I beleive were all born in Lithuania.
