The only Woodward I have found to be a vet of the Revolution, is Jonas Woodward. Buried in Steuben Co. N.Y. The listing I found says:
Record from the Mass. Solders and Sailors says: Volume 17
page 865
Woodward, Jonas.Private, Capt. Abijah Burbank's co., Col. Jonathan Holman's regt.; service, 17 days; company marched from Sutton to Providence, R. I., Dec. 10, 1776, on an alarm.

Please help. I have information that my ancestor Charles Woodward (1755-1815) m. Keziah Morris, fought in the revolution and was from Virginia. He came to SC after the war and was given a land grant of 460 acres for his service in the revolution (we do have a copy of the deed proving this). However, I cannot locate any other information tying him to the revolution. He is not on the DAR list. Maybe his name was spelled Woodard on the list? Where can I find a copy of this list? Also, how accurate do you think the DAR list is?
