Bridget Bushbie was born 1720 in Kilkenny, Ireland and died in 1785 in Barrington, New Hampshire. She was married to Azariah Boody, 1720- 1803 a N.H. native. Anyone have any information on her ? Can't locate her parents, altho family legends go that they were from Ireland and also were in Barbados

You should post this message on the Kilkenny website.

There are no Bushbie's or Bushby listed in the telephone book for Kilkenny. The closest Bushby to Kilkenny is given as Dublin.

Kilkenny belongs to an Irish History Foundation with
births and marriages and there are 0 Parish's that have records back to 1720 so unless you find a family member
you won't get to know her parents names. However,
irish names were usually handed down. 2nd son named after
wife's father, 2nd. daughter names after wife's mother.
Those would be repeated through the generations.

You might try www.cyndislist.com for searching Barbados.
Being under british rule they kept good records.

My daughter's in-laws are named Bushbie here in Canada, so their descents could be anywhere. Many irish came to Canada as well as the US in the 1700 and 1800's.

Surprisingly only 2 Bushby showed in the telephone directory for Canada - one in Ontario? There are
Bushbie but since the family I know only had girls when they married their names changed, grandfather deceased.
