I'm looking for info for JOHN CURLEY and SUSAN DOLAN. John was born in County Sligo, son of Anthony and Anne Curley. Susan was born in County Roscommon daughter of Daniel and Mary Dolan. They married in Ireland and immigrated to RI about 1870.

Their children were:

Annie b. 1870, married Patrick Farrell.

John b. April 5, 1872.

Catherine b. June 8, 1875, married James Thomas Brotherton.

Margaret b. December 1, 1878, married James Joseph Etchells.

Agnes b. April 30, 1881, married Mathias Arsenault.

Joseph b. June 4, 1882, married Florence Ford.

William b. ? married ?

Mae Ann b. ? married ?

John and Susan lived in Providence and John's occupation was listed as a junk dealer.

Any info for this family would be appreciated.

Lori,

Just saw your message & was wondering if you had further info on your Annie b. 1870, who married Patrick Farrell.
I have a grandaunt in my line who married a Patrick Farrell as well, but all I have is her nickname, "Titty." I know Patrick Farrell must have been as common of a name then as it is now & that "Titty" most likey wasn't short for "Annie," but I figured I'd take a chance!

Please let me know what other facts you have on that couple...just in case! Thanks! :)

Searching for family names. They were from the Skibbereen area of West Cork. These are my great grandparents born around the 1840s I think! Any links out there?

I'm wondering if this is my family. My father's name is John Curley and he was named after his great grandfather also named John. We are all from RI. I will talk to my grandmother about this but I'm thinking this could be my family. I'm thinking John, the son, may have been my father's great great grandfather. I will ask him and get back to you!

Lori,
John Curley and Susan Dolan were actually married Nov. 12, 1861 in All Saints Chapel, Glossop, Hayfield, England. I have a copy of their marriage certificate. If you would like me to send a copy to you let me know. Agnes Curley Arsenault was my grandmother.
