Looking for information for Robert Brown, born 11 August 1840 in New Harbor, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. He died 29 December 1875. He married Louisa Hillier, from New Harbor, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, in 1886 and they had 4 children; John, William, Sam and Thomas.
Robert Brown is my great-great grandfather and I can find no further information about him.

Is it possible you have some of your dates switched around? In your message you stated that he died in 1975 but then had children in 1886.

I think I may be a distant relation of yours: great-granddaughter of Robert's son Thomas. :)

That's interesting...Thomas Brown is my great-grandfather too! My grandmother is Thomas's daughter Bertha Louise who married John O'Gay. They had one son, Harry, who is my father.
Which of Thomas's 15 children is your grandparent?

About our great, great grandfather, Robert, I said he died in 1875 but it was really 1874. I have been to the graveyeard in New Harbour where he is buried.
