township question

Can someone tell me the name of the township that would have contained the town of Coward in the 1880 census? It later became Lynch township when it became part of Florence county, but I can't find what it was when it was a part of Williamsburg county.

Thanks,
Shea Mercure

Try Lee township. I saw Scranton listed in the 1870 census under Lee.

WILLIAMSBURGH TOWNSHIP AT ONE TIME WAS A LOT LARGER THAN IT IS NOW. COWARD'S IS LOCATED ABOUT 5 MILES NORTH OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SCRANTON, 7 MILES NORTH OF LAKE CITY ON HIGHWAY 52.
