I am looking for a Muldoon Idaho. I have found an old road on a Gazetter showing to the east of 75 outside Bellevue called Muldoon Canyon Rd, however in all my hunting I have yet to find a town of Muldoon. My GGrandmother Etta Scoble (Moran) and GUncle William James Moran were both born there. Any ideas??

I am a great grandaughter of the Scobles of Muldoon, Idaho. I have information about this line of the Scoble family. Muldoon may not appear on a map, but it is just outside of Bellevue.

I just saw your inquiry about Muldoon. The town is long gone but the site is on our ranch. The coke ovens and smoke stacks from the smelter are still visable. My husband is third generation in Muldoon and maybe can help with your questions. Muldoon is about 26 miles east of Bellevue by way of Muldoon Canyon Road. Kathleen

I have very little on my GG grandfather Richard J Scoble. I know he came here from England and arrived in Austin, NV at age 25 approx. and and some point must have divorced Deliah Swank my GG grandmother. Other than that I have a complete dead end going forward or backword on him. So any other information would be great.

I just saw your posting. I was in the right direction after all. Does your husband happen to know anything of the "Old" Joe Moran family. His eldest William found the Moran Crossing in Laidlaw Park and I am looking for as much information that I can. The family is a bit of a mystery.

Actually I do have a little more information now. He was born Feb 1856 in England and then christened in St Ewe, Cornwall. I have yet to find a ship log with his name so his immigration is unknown except that is occured abt. 1871. The first census report is 1880 and he was a laborer in Austin City, Landers County Nevada at age 24/25. The next report is in Idaho census of 1910 he is a Quartzminer and marriage #1 abt. 1883 to Delilah Jane Swank, she had 3 children from a previous marriage, Harmon and Mary Ann Swank. She and he then had 3 children of their own Harriet, Joseph R. and Jessie J. Deliah and Richard divorced bet. 1889 - 1895 in Idaho where they all remained.
This is where I can't validate much. Then the indication of the 1900 census he had at some point remarried to Olive E.(24/F) and they had a child Lovinia C. Scoble Dec. 1896. Then according to the 1910 census he was a Quartzminer and the 1920 census he is a farmer. All of this being in Idaho. I have a copy of his death certificate, but the burial indicated Hailey ID, which is the area where my family is originally from.
So my question to you is where is Dickey, ID? and how are you related through which child?
I am the ggdaughter of Harriett aka. Etta who married Joe Moran, and which means he and Delilah are my gggrandparents. So let me know as I also have a bit of info on some of the others in this list.
