Surnames: Deaville

I know it has been 18 months since you posted your notice to which I am responding and you may have had responses in the meantime, But...

After wrapping the final presents and having a final lazy moment on Christmas eve I went hunting for a few extra names for my tree.... Just by chance it included your Daniel Deaville!

The strange thing is I had a Catherine Ann Deaville in my tree originally and I went chasing a completely diferent "twig" and found a John Deaville... Finding another person excited the juices and two hours later I had discovered the full relationship between these two Deavilles - who both married into and became a part of the wider Babb family - to which I belong.

My grandfather was a Babb, but on the death of both parents, he was adopted by the Farrells... Hence my surname!

It is a long and winding road between these characters and us - but I can provide a copy of my family tree and show you what I know of the Deavilles... It is a family that still exists around the area of Gratwich and Chartley in Staffordshire.

I have already set myself the target in 2007 to widen the Babb and Deavile net... Already I have found another Deaville in my tree related to another part of my tree that ultimately married into the Babbs, but I have yet to make the connection to the earlier Deaville group...

If you wish to e-mail me at f4rrell@talktalk.net I would be glad to chat and see what I can provide to help you in your search...

Happy New Year 2007!

Kind regards

David Farrell

Good evening Neil

I would certainly be interested in looking further into the (Catherine and Daniel etc.) Deaville / Babb / Simpson relationships!

I have not done much on this side of the tree in the last month, but as I am visiting my parents in the region next weekend, I hope to resume the trail and wander round a few graveyards!

If you wish to e-mail me at f4rrell@talktalk.net - I would be glad to chat and see what we come up with...

Kind regards

David Farrell

This Daniel you speak of is a brother to my great-grandfather William Deaville of 1853 to 1907
