My great grandmother is Margaret Mary Hourihan, born in Glengerry, Ire. on 19 May, 1890.

Margaret Mary died on 9 Apr 1931 in Melrose, MA, USA.

Her parents are Thomas Hourihan and Frances Mary Lynch. I know nothing more about them.

I'd appreciate any info on this family.

My mother was named Margaret Mary Hourihan after her great aunt that lived in Melrose Ma. My mothers father was name Gerald P Hourihan. He was born in 1915 and died in 1996. Perhaps your Margaret Mary was sister to my grandfather? If you think its a hit, I can give you the rest of the family history

Just seen your post. My ggf was Thomas Hourihan married to Frances Mary Lynch Droumgarriff, Glengarriff, Co.Cork. He was a labourer. They had several children, Mary (Molly)b.1878,Julia b.1880 Patrick, Lizzie b.1887, Frances 1889, Thomas b.1893 Michael b,1894. Thomas Hourihan died sometime before 1901 census. A couple of the sisters stayed in Glengarriff and remained unmarried. One of the sisters is my ggrandmother, she died young and her sisters reared her two sons. Love to hear from you.
