Hello. To anyone who reads this, my family is also the Ollinger line. My great-great grandfather was Jakab Ollinger who married Anna Schlechter. They had one child, a son, Ignatz. Any information on them anf thier earlier ancestors would be of great assistance.

They are from the Andrasfalva/Radautz area now in Romania.

I believe that Ignatz Ollinger was the son of Jakab and his first wife, Anna Falkauer. Anna Schlecter was the second wife (they married in 1845, at the ages of 44 and 48, respectively). I only know this because I have copies of the Andrásfalva Catholic Marriage records (which were not microfilmed by the LDS).

I also show two siblings of Ignatz: Anna, who married János Daradics, and Adam, who married Rosalia Appel.

Adam (b. after 1864) & Rosalia are parents of my Ambros (b. 1890 in Andrásfalva ). Ambros was 26 when my dad, also an Ambros, was born in Andrásfalva. I have not been able to reach Beth and have deliberated long before posting this, as I respect Beth Long's extensive researching activities. However, I believe the Ignatz referred to above is of a different generation than stated. My records show as follows: A Jakab Ollinger born in the late 1700's (wife unknown to me) had a son also named Jakab, born in 1801. This 1801 Jakab married Anna Falkauer and had a son named Ignatz (b. 1830). [comment: although Jakab remarried an Anna Schlecter--no children are known of the 2nd marriage] Ignatz (1830) later married in 1864 to Juliana Getzo (b. 1838) and they had three children: Ignatz (b. 1874) who later married Kathaleen Balog); Adam (born 1865+) who later married Rosalia Appel; and Anna (birth data unknown) who later married Janos Daradics. I don't find anywhere an Ignatz born in 1801--only Jakab. Contrary to Beth's message posting, Anna and Adam were siblings of a later Ignatz--the one born in 1874 whose parents were Ignatz & Juliana Getzo, not Jakab and Falkauer.
