My father was John Woodall Rogers, Sr. His grandmother was Carrie Orissa Woodall b. 1862 whose siblings were Charles G., Emma, William L., Sarah E., Gabriel. Their parents were William Woodall who married Alcena J. Griffin. William Woodall's (b. 1817) parents were William Woodall who married Elizabeth Hughes. The 1850 1860 census records show them in Columbia Co., Ga.
Any further info. would be greatly appreciated.

How did you prove William Woodall that married Elizabeth Hughes was the father of William who married Alcena? That's my line also and I can't seem to find proof that William and Elizabeth were his parents. Thanks for you help

We do not have solid proof but Wm. Woodall Elizabeth Hughes m. 02/04/1813 per "Early Records of Ga." abstracted compiled by Grace Gillam Davidson. The Wm. Woodall that married Alcena Griffin was born in 1817. Also in the Columbia Co. census records of 1850 1860, Elizabeth Woodall lived with them. There may be more records here . My parents died I am cleaning house so may find more later. We also have a marriage certificate for Wm. Elizabeth and his name is listed as Williamson. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if this is the same Emma Woodall,
But it's worth a try. I'm only 16, and i'm just
trying to find out some history about my family.
My fathers name is Gary, and his mothers name
was Emma. I believe she died when he was very
young. She had other children as well. Please
email me if this is in someway related to what
you are searching for. Thank-you,
Jess Woodall
