I am looking for information on my 4th G Grandfather, more precisely, his parents. Philip Wright was born abt. 1750 in Burwash East Sussex. He married Ann Hasler in Rumboldswyke Parish Church on the 12th March 1777 according to a copy of a marriage certificate which I do not have. He became the Verger of St. Peter the Great Church, this Church was in the North Transept of Chichester Cathedral and was known as the Sub Deanery. Philip lived with his family in the Cathedral Close, they had three children, George, Ann and Philip. He died in 1808 and was buried in Paradise which is the graveyard in the centre of the Cathedral Cloisters, his wife is also buried there. Any information on his parents will be helpful as I seem to be stuck. Thank you

Hello,

Philip Wright is my 5th G grandfather, through his son George, William, Robert, William and then Francis (who was my grandfather).

I have only just started researching Philip, and have a few leads which I am attempting to consolidate, but nothing concrete.

It would be wonderful to share our Wright family history. My mother and her two sisters have collected a wealth of stories and photos etc.

Do let me know if you'd like to get in touch, I live just outside Chichester so it's easy for investigation!

Your distant cousin,

Bruno

Hi 1-bruno87
I replied to your message about Philip Wright in October I don't know if you received it or not but I am very interested to see what information you may have on Philip as he is my 4th great grandfather through his son George down to Richard Isaac Wright. I seem to have hit a brick wall about Philips Parents. I have a Family Tree on Ancestry.com if you are interested contact me on my email which has changed to mikewr1@sky.com please.
All the best
Mike
