Looking for information and/or relations to the the above names. Benjamin Gasiorowski, Katarryna Szila, Jacob Gasiorowski, Julia Wanicki and Mary Czaikowska were from Ropczyce, Galicia. Thomas Jasinski, Jozef Jasinski, and Victoria Pluta I believe were from Hyzne, Poland. Casimir Kiebala, Vincent Keibala, and Victoria Urbanek were from Wielopole Skrzynskie. All these villages are near Rzeszow. All of these people were born in the 1800's. Any information would be gladly appreciated. Thanks!

My great grandmother was Julia Jasinski, she married Leon Sonnenberg in the late 1800's. They raised a family in Buffalo, NY. Leon worked for the railroad that is now the site of the Bailey Market. I'm wondering if Jozef and Julia are related.

Do you know if the name Gasiorowski was ever shortened by decendents? I have a Walenty Gasior, born in 1850 in my family tree. I know that they came from the Rzeszow area, which is relatively close to Ropczyce. I believe their town of origin was Ocieka. Walenty Gasior married Anna Stopa and had 8 children. Walenty Gasior was my great, great, grandfather. Thanks!

Judy Riley,
I am also looking for Stopa's in the Rzeszow region. My grandfather, Michale Stopa left from Rzeszow for America in 1909. He was born in 1877 in Medynia Lancucka, n.e. of Rzeszow. His mother was Marianna Stopa. Anna Stopa may be related to him. Do you have any more details on her family or parents?

To me, the handwriting (Latin) looks like Ignatius Matuch was from Trzesowka, parish Kolbuzow, parents Joannes Matuch and Maria Mikutas; Anna Pluta, Czarne, parish Pilzno; parents Joseph Pluta and Regina Augustyn. Witnesses Andreas Augustyn and Maria Perkowska.
There is a marriage record for Andrew Augustyn at pgsa:

It sounds like your grandfather and mine are the same. Anna Stopa was one of my aunts. Did your Stopa's settle in Pennsylvania?
Have you learned anything new re: your Stopa family?
You can contact me directly through trapperdave@charter.net. When I posted this note my e-mail was different.

My grandmother's sister Anna Malek married a Jozef Urbanik. She would have been born in the 1880's in the village of Wolka Bielinska, near Ulanow. This is in the Podkarpackie region of Poland. They had a daughter, Katarzyna Urbanik. Katarzyna married a Zuraw.
