Question what causes someone to be added into the jewish registry in the first place?
Is it possible that she may have been added by mistake?

This is a good answer given by threent to someone else with similar question."The records on Ancestry identified as "Priority Jewish" are not exlusively Jewish.

If you search Ancestry.com for Census and Voter Lists for "John F. Kennedy" with Mother "Rose" and choose Collection Priority "Jewish" you will find our former President. "

Setting the collection priority to "Jewish" changes the relevance ranking of record collections. The collections themselves are not necessarily specific to Jewish people. (It also changes the mechanism for finding possible matching names.)
