Lila Rudella (Van Kirk) Turner
Lila Rudella (Van Kirk) Turner, 76, passed away March 26, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, MO. Rudella formerly lived in Fairland and Miami, OK and had moved to Goodman, MO in Jan. of 2001 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
Lila Rudella Van Kirk was born Oct. 3, 1931 in Council Hollow, Wyandotte, OK the daughter of Sterling Benjamin and Ethel Pearl (Roberts) Van Kirk. She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God Faith. She married Loyd W. Turner May 23, 1950 at Miami, OK and from this union two children were born, Kelley (Turner) Sharp and husband Jackie, Stella, MO and Jimmy Turner and wife Wendi, Guthrie, OK.
Additional survivors include grandchildren, Jason Turner and wife Shelly, Goodman, Morgan Holloway and husband Joshua, Neosho, Heather Sharp and fianc/e Mike, Seneca, Cody Garcia, Anderson, Ashleigh Roddy and husband Frank, Cullison, KS; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Damon Turner, Goodman, McKenzie, Austin and Pyper Holloway, Neosho, Brooklyn Winters and Madsion Roddy, Cullison, KS and one great-grandbaby on the way which is due April 13, 2008; Sisters, Monna Rae Connell and Earlene Craft both of Seneca; brother Jack Van Kirk and wife Ann, Stigler, OK.
Rudella was preceded in death by her parents, brother Grady Van Kirk and sister Sherley Rantz; brother-in-laws LaVerne Connell and Willis Rantz.
Funeral services under the personal care of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Chapel with Russel Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Council House Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 PM to 8 PM, Friday, March 28, 2008 at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Earlene Craft.
Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca were held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday at the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Mills officiating. Burial was in the Kirk Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Bethel Baptist Church building fund or Life Choices in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
The family received friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
