Hi Joe,
The location and dates of your two ancestors would appear to make them contemporaries of my ancestor who emigrated to Canada from Ireland and the ages of his children born in Hungerford Twp, Ontario, Canada.

Do you know when/how your ancestors came to live in Canada? From what I know, the Irish tended to migrate together as families to new countries or to areas within a country.

Maurice, b. in 1823, could be the brother of my William Haley, b. 1822. And Patrick, b. 1845, could be the cousin of William's children, the first of whom was born in 1849.

Just a guess, let me know what you think.
Maureen

Thank you Maureen, apologize for the delay..

I do not know much about them at all. from Cork as I recall.. Maurice must have emigrated about 1850 ish ( I found a Maurice to NY in 1853) The lived in Yarker, ON. I have updated his dob to DEc 1829 and I found his ( and spouse) gravestove..
Also by using BALLYVOURNEY, CORK, IRELAND as his place of birth I was able to find a Maurice who was born that at the correct time...
