Surnames: Sagstuen, Larsen, Larson
I am trying to find obituaries for Mathias and Syverine Larsen (Larosn) Mathias was born Dec 18, 1855 in Ringsager, Norway and died in or around Alden, Polk county, Wis in Jan. 1928 his wife Syverine was born April 7 1846 in Norway and died in the same area Jan 6 1914. They had two daughters Inga born March 1885 and Anna born June 1887, both born in Wisconsin, Mathias's sons, Lars and Ludwig Larsen Sagstuen died shortly after arriving here and I think this may be one of the boys, Ludwig Sagstuen Death Date: 07 Aug 1882 County: Polk. Mathias's brothers kept the name Sagstuen and lived around the Thief River Falls area in Minnesota. Does anyone have any info on this family, obits, where they are buried, who the girls married? anything to help me with the search of this family or where I can go to, to get this info? Mathias is my great great Uncle. I thank you very very much!

I found Mathias' obituary that says he died in Nye, Polk County Wisconsin on January 24 1928.
His daughters are Mrs. Frank Hjelle of Nye and Mrs. Samuel Foss of St. Paul, MN. Also says his wife's maiden name was Penninggrud. He is buried in the West Immanuel Church Cemetery.
Additionally I found a blurb about a Lars Larson who died in Alden on June 25, 1877 aged 65 years.
Hope this helps.

I found it at the UWRF Archives. I would have normally scanned and sent it to you but my scanner is not working. If you want to provide a snail mail address I can send it to you that way.
