Darwin "Blackie" Spletter, 66, 719 N. 10th Ave., Wausau, died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
Blackie was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War and was employed for 30 years as a bookkeeper and retired after eight years as a custodian at Newman High School.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn (Trainor) Spletter, Wausau; two sons, Tom (Sandy) Spletter, Marysville, Ohio, and Mike Spletter, State College, Pa.; four grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Inez Tews, Menasha, Norman Spletter, and Leon (Dorothy) Spletter, all of Appleton, June (Bert) Buchanan, and Dorothy (Eugene) Luedtke, all of Tomahawk, Marvin (Ruth) Spletter, Shirley (Jack) Shoone, Harrison, Wis., Karen (Roger) Lane, and Clarence Anderson, all of Tomahawk.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Peterson Funeral Home and Crematory, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on 7jan1872(where?). She was confirmed on18apr1886 at St.Stephans Evangelical Lutheran Church in Concord, Jefferson county, WI. Her father was Gottleib Polzin, mother Auguste Raduege.
