Did he have an obituary? start there..
are you related get death cert. where is he buried?
its 50 years since he died so that would be public for anyone to get. Either New Orleans Library or Baton Rouge archives.

You have been such a great help.
As much as I can determine, he died Nov. 1958 and is buried somewhere in Gretna, LA. The rumor is that he was killed by a bus.
I have not been able to go to locate the obit, but would very much like to have a copy if it is available.
The family has no knowledge of him as apparently the parents divorced very, very so after marriage.
Again, thank you so much.

If he died in Gretna, I would think his obit if published would have been in the West Bank Guide and / or the Picayune Newspaper. There could be a newspaper account of the accident it could require you going thru the newspaper, you would need a month & year...
you might want to check other years, the year given to you might not be correct.

I have Hert. Quest, 1930 is not indexed, did you by chance notice the street name of the Traigle family.
It is the correct family, but there is no 4th district, only wards. I am trying to narrow the search.
Thanks again for all of your help with this.

It has been awhile but wanted to follow up, some time ago you searched the westbank for an obit around 1957/58 for Loyd J Traigle that was killed by a bus, had no luck.
Based upon some additional information, it seems that Loyd was in fact killed in Baton Rouge, not by a bus but in a bar. Still have not found the westbank grave.
All of his siblings have passed away, so information is scarce.
If anyone has archives of the Advocate and would do an obit lookup, it would be appreciated.
