I am trying to find any information on Daniel M. Baird. He married Martha Truxal and they had one daughter Jean. Does anyone know of his ancestors or parents even. Thanks!

I am searching for Bairds in Pennsylvania; which part of the state are you researching? Mine are: John Baird; spouse Hannah Stewart; and my ancestress, their daughter Hannah Baird.

My Bairds are from Westmoreland County, PA. I don't recall running across those names. About what time period are they from?

My Bairds, at least Hannah Baird, was born in Neshaminy, Bucks Co., PA, no birth/death dates, but died in Warwick, Bucks Co., PA. Not certain where her parents were born. I don't have any other data for her parents. Hannah's spouse: Robert Jameson, b. 1739, Warwick, Bucks Co., m. April 1767, Bucks Co., and d. September 13, 1811, Warwick. I have the Jameson genealogy; but really hunting for a long time re the Baird lineage.

The first Bairds that I have being born in the US were born around the 1880s. That family came from Scotland and moved to Pa.

Thanks Mindy for your return messages. I'll just have to keep researching the PA records, as I've been doing for several years. Somewhere, somehow ... the proof will show up. Mahalo nui loa (many thanks)from this Baird descendant in Hawai'i.

You state that you have some Bairds that came from Scotland and had children born in Pennsylvania around 1880. I am currently researching Samuel Baird, wife Jeannie (or Genie as it appears in 1880 Census) -maiden name Blane who were married in Scotland 1877. It appears they had a son Robert, born 1879 in Scotland and then came to Pennsylvania, USA. They show up in 1880 census in Long Valley (Barclay), Bradford Co, PA. I believe they had at least two other children, William Baird born about 1880 (later relocated to South Africa, possibly via Scotland) and Elizabeth Pollock Baird born about 1889. Elizabeth Pollock Baird was my great-aunt. Any of these names or locations match any of your research?
