My ggp were George and Agnes (Nadeau) Turgeon. I was told that they were from Ste-Bernard, Dorchester County, Quebec. Listed in the 1881 Canadian census for Ste-Bernard, is a George Torgeon, s/o Jean and Francoise, whom I think is my ggf. Living with George and his parents is a sister named Celina. Also listed in the same census is the household of Frederick and Phebe Nadeau with their daughter Agnes Nadeau. Eventually, George and Agnes married and had 5 children: Cordelia, Delia, Marie, Armoze, and John. I believe they were all born in Ste-Bernard. I would like to obtain all of their baptismal records as well as the marriage record of George and Agnes. Does anyone know what Catholic parish I would write to?

Thank you so much for the information! I only had a couple of birth dates. Armosa married Philias Viger in 1904 in Biddeford, ME and later moved to Salem, MA. Cordelia m. Aristide Vaillancourt in 1906 in Biddeford, ME and later moved to VT. Maria, my gm m. Joseph Levesque (b. Riviere du Loup) in Salem, MA. I don't know what happened to the baby Marie Anne. I think that the son, John, was electrocuted. George Turgeon, their father, ended up dying of diptheria in the Yukon, but is buried in Canada. Agnes remarried Damase Gregoire in 1907 in Biddeford, ME and later moved to Salem, MA. I went to Biddeford City Hall yesterday and found that the parents of Agnes were Frederick Nadeau and Fite(Phebe?) Turgeon. Damase's parents were Cyrille Gregoire and Philomene Couture. As far as I know Damase is not blood related to me, however his family (Gregoire) is listed right after George Turgeon's (Torgeon) in the 1881 census for Ste-Bernard.
